The Snooki Book Deal

Like most sentient human beings, I was a bit appalled at the fact that Nikki "Snooki" Polizzi from Jersey Shore (pictured) got a book deal.

I haven't watched the show - seriously - but I've seen here, and while I know this makes me an asshole elitist, here's the thing - you have to be functionally literate to read a book, let alone write one, and that seems to be sort of a stumbling block.

Yeah, I'm a jerk but she says in that article above that she's only read two books , and that those are Twilight and Dear John. (I'm assuming she just forgot about things she was asked to read in high school, but maybe I'm assuming too much.)

There's also this - who is going to buy it? Something the publishers may have forgotten:
